It will be our great pleasure to welcome to you to the Informatics for Health Congress, in Manchester, April 2017.
The Congress will bring together: Europe’s leading conference, Medical Informatics Europe (MIE2017) from the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI – www.efmi.org) and The Farr Institute International Conference 2017 (www.farrinstitute.org). This synergy will produce an outstanding event.
Over three days an international audience of academics, health professionals and industry partners will share the knowledge, insights and experience that are fuelling the rapid advancement in informatics research for: health science; health care; and economic growth in/around digital health. The varied and dynamic conference programme will include global thought leaders presenting alongside innovators in health data science. By blending academic rigour with the latest technological developments Informatics for Health (IfH) 2017 will provide the academic bedrock needed to create a stimulating and challenging international congress.
Our chosen host city of Manchester has a rich heritage in computational science and business, from Turing to a modern-day digital health eco-system of international informatics research embedded in the region’s health system and supported by a network of businesses. The conference will be held at Manchester Central which is located in the centre of this vibrant city. The venue offers state-of-the-art conference facilities in a historic building from the Second Industrial Revolution born out of Manchester’s achievements in science and engineering.
We are looking forward to providing you with a superb environment in which to present, discuss and advance your knowledge of health informatics research. The scientific programme has been designed to engage researchers across our subject’s multidisciplinary reach and to facilitate collaboration and interaction. We especially look forward to welcoming our young scientists with scientific and social programmes targeted at the development of our future research leaders.
